Floorball Australia (FAL) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Urban Karlsson as the new Australian Women’s Head Coach. 

Serving in the role for the next World Floorball Championship (WFC) in 2027 and the new WFC cycle starting in 2028, Urban brings significant National Team coaching experience, having coached Denmark, Switzerland, and Norway National Men's Teams over 11 years. 

"We see this as a significant step in the development of our women’s team(s) having someone like Urban with his vast experience at the International level. Urban will also work with our local National Team coaches to help with their development which is a huge bonus for floorball development in Australia," says Stephen King CEO Floorball Australia.

Urban also brings strong development focus and experience working with Juniors, Women, and Men at IBK Dalen in Sweden for over 20 years, so FAL is very looking forward to working with Urban in the further development of the National Women's Team, and its growth in the world rankings.
