EOI's for the Australian National Women’s Team Manager Open

Floorball Australia Limited are calling for Expressions of Interest for the Australian National Women’s Team Manager position. 

DESCRIPTION: MANAGER

The Australian Women’s Floorball Team Manager is responsible for the administration, logistics, communication, and operational coordination of the team, ensuring athletes and staff are supported before, during, and after international competition. The role works closely with coaches, officials, and Floorball Australia to manage travel, compliance, team welfare, event requirements, and the smooth day-to-day functioning of the team.

TERM

This position shall be effective from the acceptance and signing of the Manager Contract and shall continue for the duration of the current Australian Women's National Team two-year campaign cycle, including all official international events for which the Australian Women's National Team qualifies or is selected to participate. The initial term of appointment shall conclude upon completion of the 2027 Women's World Floorball Championships campaign. By mutual agreement between Floorball Australia Limited (FAL) and the appointed Manager, the appointment may be extended for the subsequent IFF four-year event cycle.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. The Manager shall be responsible for the administrative and logistical support of the Team. This includes:

a. Liaison: Liaising with all team members, coaches, and officials to ensure all are informed of their responsibilities in relation to the event, training, competition, and official functions.

b. Administration: Attending to administration matters as required by FAL and the International Floorball Federation (IFF).

c. Uniforms: Ensuring that all players are informed of uniform requirements and orders are lodged on time.

d. Travel Arrangements: Ascertaining and documenting the team’s travel arrangements to ensure arrival at the venue on the required date and time.

e. Code of Conduct: Ensuring that every player has read and agreed to relevant Codes of Conduct in writing before the event commences.

f. Anti-Doping: Ensuring all players have completed the required Anti-Doping training and any other training required to be completed as specified by FAL and Sports Integrity Australia

g. Meetings: Attending meetings as required such as Managers briefing and team meetings.

h. Planning and Communication: Ensuring adequate planning and communication of day-to-day activities in consultation with other team officials.

i. Team Environment: Promoting a positive team environment through organized activities.

j. Issue Management: Ensuring the early identification and management of any issues within the team that may adversely affect performance at the event. Referral of serious issues, such as breaches of the Code of Conduct, to the Contingent Manager if necessary.

k. Match Coordination: Managing and coordinating tasks related to matches such as submission of match sheets in either paper or electronic formats.

l. Expenditure Management: Management and reconciliation of team expenditure.

2. The Manager shall provide evidence of having undertaken Working With Children Screening prior to the commencement of this Contract.

3. The Manager shall agree to undertake and complete any and all antidoping education as requested by FAL.

4. The Manager shall submit a tournament report to the FAL board within 8 weeks of the end date of each tournament.

5. The Manager shall comply with all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations set by Floorball Australia Limited and relevant sporting bodies.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Proven ability to manage administrative tasks, including liaising with team members, coaches, and officials to ensure effective communication and adherence to responsibilities.
  • Experience in coordinating team travel arrangements, ensuring timely arrival at venues, and organizing day-to-day activities.
  • Commitment to enforcing Codes of Conduct, ensuring players' compliance with anti-doping regulations, and adhering to all policies and procedures set by relevant authorities.
  • Ability to manage team uniform requirements, ensuring orders are placed and delivered on time.
  • Competence in managing team expenditure, including budgeting, reconciling expenses, and providing financial reports.
  • Skills in promoting a positive and cohesive team environment through organised activities and issue management.
  • Ability to prepare and submit detailed tournament reports within specified deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to child protection, including completion of Working With Children Screening and relevant integrity training.
